Dynasty warriors 81/22/2024 It doesn’t offer up anything mind-blowing that demands the attention of casual fans, but as a complete package it’s a wonderful entry point. If you haven’t played a Dynasty Warriors game in a long while, picking up Xtreme Legends on your shiny new PS4 isn’t a bad idea. The Complete Edition is a decent package that brings the two together, but not enough new content to justify a double dip. There will be 77 added wallpapers, each featuring the character art for one of the playable characters, from the 'DYNASTY WARRIORS 8 TREASURE BOX. The game offers 80+ playable characters, various modes, and a wealth of stuff to do and unlock. New wallpapers will be added, which can be viewed in the Gallery and set to display on the loading screen. There’s also the ability to take advantage of Cross-Save features between the PS3 and Vita, and if you had the PS3 version of Dynasty Warriors 8 you can transfer in your save file to the PS4. A button-mashing hack-n-slasher based on the historical Chinese novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It’s not a graphical overhaul in the slightest (there’s a weird filter in place, as well as the franchise’s standard fog effect), but what really matters is that the engine doesn’t feel limited and gameplay isn’t compromised. Although there are still a few minor hitches here and there, I didn’t really encounter any noticeable slowdown, and the PS4 is capable of showing more soldiers on-screen than ever before. Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition is rated Mighty after being reviewed by 20 critics, with an overall average score of 86. The game offers four campaigns, four modes, and a new affinity mechanic that rewards switching weapons and switching characters. Fight exciting Castle Sieges and manipulate the country's Politics. Experience the human drama of the Three Kingdoms in a way only Empires can provide. For the purposes of this review I was able to test out the PS4 version of the game, and I’m pleased to say that it handles quite well. IGN's Chris Schilling praises Dynasty Warriors 8 for its skillful addressing of fan criticisms, distinctive movesets, and engaging progression.
